This event is more than a ride—it’s about responsible recreation, learning trail etiquette, and supporting the local community that thrives on events like this. From scenic viewpoints to thrilling terrain, it’s an experience you don’t want to miss.
Why You Should Attend
This event is designed to showcase Green River’s beautiful, lesser-known trails while teaching riders about responsible recreation through the “Tread Lightly” and “Leave No Trace” principles. Our goal is to promote fun while preserving the environment for future generations. Safety Comes First
Safety is a top priority at the Watermelon Crawl. Our guides are trained in first aid, have access to satellite phones, and are familiar with the terrain and emergency procedures. We hold Pre-Ride Safety Meetings each morning to review important details such as:
- Trail conditions
- Safety gear requirements
- Emergency protocols
- Trail etiquette and responsible riding
Alcohol is strictly prohibited on the trails. Violators will be asked to leave the event, and law enforcement may be involved if necessary.
Waste and Environmental Responsibility
We follow a strict “Pack It In, Pack It Out” policy. Guides and sweeps will monitor for trash, and we encourage participants to help clean up along the way. There will even be incentives for participants who help clean up the trails!
Liability Waiver Requirement
Every participant must submit a signed liability waiver. You can email your signed waiver to [email protected] or bring a hard copy to the event. Without this waiver, you won’t be able to join any group rides. You can find the waiver attached to the event registration form.
Out-of-State Participants
- If you’re only riding within the event, no out-of-state OHV permit is required.
- However, if you plan to stay longer or explore additional trails outside the event, you’ll need to purchase a non-resident OHV permit. You can get your permit here: Non-Resident OHV Permit
